Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Cook Time: 10 minutes | Servings: 24 cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened 

  • ¾ cup brown sugar

  • ½ cup granulated sugar

  • 1 egg

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 2 cups and 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 teaspoon pink Himalayan salt

  • 6 ounces bittersweet dark chocolate, chopped

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  3. In a medium mixing bowl whisk flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

  4. In a large mixing bowl cream butter and sugars together for about four minutes until light and fluffy

  5. Add egg and vanilla extract, beat for 30 seconds.

  6. At a low speed, add flour mixture until just incorporated.

  7. Fold in chocolate chunks.

  8. Form 1 ½ tablespoon balls.

  9. Place cookie dough balls onto baking sheet about 1.5 inches apart.

  10. Bake for 5 minutes.

  11. Rotate pan and back for an additional 4 to 5 minutes.

  12. Remove cookies from baking pan and let cool on wire rack.
