Brown Sugar Cookies

Ingredients
1 cup butter, softened
1 ½ cup dark brown sugar
1 teaspoon molasses
1 egg, plus 1 additional egg yolk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
¾ teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon pink Himalayan salt
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium mixing bowl whisk flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl cream butter, sugar, and molasses together for about four minutes until light and fluffy.
Add egg, yolk, and vanilla extract, beat for 1 minute.
At a low speed, add flour mixture until just incorporated.
Form 1 ½ tablespoon balls.
Place cookie dough balls onto baking sheet about 1.5 inches apart.
Bake for 5 minutes.
Rotate pan and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
Remove cookies from baking pan and let cool on wire rack.
