Brownies

Brownies

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Cook Time: 30 minutes | Servings: 24 brownies

Ingredients

  • ½ cup butter

  • 8 ounces bittersweet dark chocolate, chopped

  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • ½ teaspoon baking powder

  • ¾ teaspoon salt

  • 4 eggs

  • ½ cup canola oil

  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar

  • ½ cup brown sugar

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Grease and line a 9x13 baking pan with parchment paper.

  3. In a small mixing bowl whisk flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

  4. In a medium saucepan, over medium-low heat, melt butter and bittersweet chocolate until fully melted and smooth. Remove saucepan from heat and stir in cocoa powder until smooth. Set aside and allow to slightly cool.

  5. In a large mixing bowl whisk eggs, oil, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract.

  6. Add chocolate mixture to the large bowl. Whisk until smooth. Add flour mixture to the large bowl and stir until just incorporated.

  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.

  8. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until brownies have set and a toothpick comes out with crumbs, but not wet.

  9. Transfer pan to a wire rack and let cool for 10 completely.

  10. Remove brownies, using the parchment paper to lift out of pan.

  11. Cut brownies into squares.
