Custard Pie

Custard Pie

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Cook Time: 75 minutes | Servings: 6-8 slices

Ingredients

  • 6 eggs, room temperature

  • 1½ cups whole milk, room temperature

  • 1½ cups heavy cream, room temperature

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg

  • pinch of ground cinnamon

  • pinch of ground clove

  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. In a large mixing bowl mix, eggs, nutmeg, cinnamon, clove, and vanilla extract. Beat on medium speed for 3 minutes.

  3. Add milk and heavy cream to the large mixing bowl. Beat on medium speed for 3 minutes until mixture is smooth.

  4. Pour filling into prepared pie dish. 

  5. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until filling sets.

Notes: Ensure that eggs and milk are room temperature before baking. Custard pie is best served chilled. Garnish pie with whipped cream and berries.
