Flaky Butter Pie Crust
The most important part of any pie is the crust. After trying countless recipes, this has become my go-to recipe. This pie crust is so easy to make, you’ll never go back to buying store-bought pie crust again!
Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cook Time: 4 hours | Servings: 1 x 9” pie crust
Ingredients
- 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour 
- ¼ teaspoon salt 
- ½ cup butter, chilled and shredded 
- ¼ cup ice water 
Directions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. 
- Add in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. 
- Stir in water, until mixture forms a ball. 
- Press dough into a flat disk and wrap in plastic. 
- Refrigerate dough for at least 4 hours or overnight. 
- Roll dough out to fit a 9 inch pie dish. 
- Place pie crust in pie dish and press the dough evenly to the bottom and sides of the pie dish.
