Key Lime Pie

Key Lime Pie

Prep Time: 20 minutes | Cook Time: 25 minutes. | Servings: 6-8 slices

Ingredients

Graham Cracker Crust

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs

  • 7 tablespoons butter, melted 

  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar

Key Lime Filling

  • 4 large egg yolks

  • 2 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk

  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lime juice

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Grease a 9 inch baking dish.

  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine crushed graham crackers and sugar. Mix in melted butter until all crumbs are moistened.

  4. Press graham cracker crust to the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

  5. Bake crust for 8 minutes.

  6. In a mixing bowl, beat egg yolks for 3 minutes with an electric hand mixer. Add condensed milk and lime juice and mix for 2 minutes, until smooth.

  7. Pour lime mixture over baked graham cracker crust. 

  8. Bake for 15 minutes or until mostly set.

  9. Once pie has cooled completely, cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

Note: Garnish pie with whipped cream, sliced limes, and lime zest.
