French Toast
Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cook Time: 10 minutes | Servings: 8 slices
Ingredients
1 loaf of challah bread
1 teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
2 tablespoons sugar
pinch of cardamom
pinch of ground ginger
4 eggs
¼ cup milk
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
4 tablespoons butter
Directions
Slice challah loaf into 8 slices
In a small mixing bowl, combine cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar, cardamom, and ginger.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk eggs, milk, and vanilla. Whisk in spices.
Melt butter in skillet over medium heat.
Dip bread slices into egg mixture and place in skillet.
Fry slices in skillet until golden brown on each side, about 1 - 2 minutes on each side.
Note: Serve with warm syrup.
